On January 17, 2019, the world famous publishing company Elsevier released the list of 2018 China's Most Cited Chinese Researchers. Professor Zhu Yu, researcher from the School of Geographical Sciences and director of the Center for Population and Development Studies was Re-elected. This is the fifth time that Professor Zhu Yu has been selected in the list since 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. He is also the only Most Cited Chinese Researchers by Elsevier in our university. The 2018 China Highly Cited Scholars List released a total of 1,899 Chinese scholars across 38 subject areas. They are considered to be the most influential Chinese scholars at present, and Zhu Yu is selected as one of the 31 candidates in the Social Science category list.
