On August 20th, the top international journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America-PNAS published a paper entitled Multidecadally resolved polarity oscillations during a geomagnetic excursion. Assistant Professor Zhou Youmin from the Department of Marine Science and Engineering, Southern University of Science and Technology, Professor Jiang Xiuyang from our institute, and Professor Liu Qingsong from Southern University of Science and Technology are the co-first authors of the paper. Professor Shen Chuanzhou, distinguished Professor of Taiwan University and assistant Professor Zhou Youmin are co-authors. The research paper was funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (41372189, 41672170). Professor Jiang Xiuyang has published more than 50 academic papers, among which more than 20 research papers were published in journals such as Quaternary Research, The Holocene, Chinese Science Bulletin, Quaternary Studies, and Geography as the first author.
