Introduction to Postdoctoral Research Station of Geography of Fujian Normal University

In October 2003, with the approval of the Ministry of Personnel and the National Postdoctoral Management Committee, our school established a postdoctoral research station for geography. The first-level doctoral programs in geography cover the fields of physical geography, human geography, cartography and geographic information systems, natural resources, ecological geography, environmental geography, regional development and planning, and the natural resources, resources and environment of the discipline. In 1991, 1995 and 2005, physical geography, natural resources, and resources and environment were awarded provincial key disciplines. In recent years, it has undertaken 15 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and has undertaken 38 research projects at the provincial and ministerial level, and more than 20 projects commissioned by enterprises. This discipline has the National Key Laboratory Breeding Base for Humid Subtropical Mountain Ecology, Key Laboratory of Humid Subtropical Eco-geographical Process of the Ministry of Education,Key Laboratory of Subtropical Resources and Environment of Fujian Province, and the Fujian Provincial Land Disaster Monitoring and EvaluationEngineeringTechnologyResearchCenter, Key Laboratory of Humid Subtropical Eco-geographical Process in FujianProvince. The “HumidMid-subtropicalMountain Eco-geographical Process” research team is the innovation team selected by the “Changjiang Scholars and Innovation Team Development Plan” of the Ministry of Education. We have won one second prize of National Natural Science, one nomination for scientific and technological progress of the Ministry of Education, and more than 10 natural science and technology progress awards at provincial and ministerial levels.
