On February 28, 2018, the internationally renowned magazine, the Journal of Geophysical Research-Biogeosciences ( Impact Factor 3.395) of the American Geophysical Society (AGU), published the article about the ecosystem service of Assisted Natural Regeneration . Based on the topic of Large Ecosystem Service Benefits of Assisted Natural Regeneration, the research scientifically and systematically confirmed that artificially promoted natural regeneration forest can effectively provide huge ecosystem services to human society, and became a forest renewal method worth promoting in the subtropical region. Professor Yang Yusheng is the first and corresponding author, and Professor Lin Dengqiu of TaiwanNormalUniversity is the co-author. The research results were highly praised by the reviewers and concluded that the results have important implications in both the ecology and management of subtropical forests. The research is funded by the program entitled as “The Mechanism of Promoting the Maintenance of Organic Matter in Red Soil by Evergreen Broad-leaved Foresters” (Project No. 31130013) of Key Projects of National Natural Science Foundation
