In September 2014, with the approval of the Ministry of Personnel and the National Postdoctoral Management Committee, our school established a postdoctoral research mobile station for ecology. The first-level doctoral programs in ecology include forest ecology, wetland ecology, restoration ecology, pollution ecology, resource ecology, regional ecology, and ecological civilization. The discipline was rated as a provincial key discipline in 2012. We haveNational Key Laboratory Breeding Base for Humid Subtropical Mountain Ecology, State Key Laboratory of Humid Subtropical Eco-Geographical Process of Ministry of Education, Fujian Forest Carbon Metering Technology Development and Application Engineering Research Center, Fujian Provincial Key Laboratory of Subtropical Resources and Environment, Fujian Provincial Land Disaster Monitoring and Evaluation Engineering Technology Research Center, and Sanming Subtropical Forest Ecosystem and Global Change Research Station, Min River Estuary Wetland Ecosystem Positioning Observation and Research Station (State Forestry Administration), and Eroded and Degraded Land Ecological Restoration Research Station. We have an innovation team of the Ministry of Education. In recent years, the laboratory staff has undertaken more than 50 projects at provincial and ministerial-level including major national scientific research projects, the pre-project of National Program on Key Basic Research Project(the 973 project), the National Science and Technology Support Program, the sub-project of National High-tech R&D Program of China(the 863 project) , the sub-project of national industry public welfare project, the Key Project of National Natural Science Foundation, and the project funded by National Natural Science Outstanding Youth Foundation, the General Project of National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Youth Project, and key projects of the Ministry of Education. A series of papers have been published in the Nature, Global Change Biology, New Phytologist, Soil Biology and Biochemistry, Environmental Science and Technology, Plant and Soil, Forest Ecology and Management. We won 1 ministerial second prize for progress in science and technology by the Ministry of Education Science, 1 provincial first prize for progress in science and technology, 2 second prizes, and more than 10 third prizes.
